Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. It is HostMF's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you on the HostMF website, in the Client Area, in the HostMF mobile app and on other sites and services we own and operate.

This policy applies to all these channels. The cookie sections cover the website; the section HostMF App covers what is specific to the app.

Who is responsible for your data. The controller of personal data is HostMF Tecnologia da Informação Ltda, registered under CNPJ no. 43.699.843/0001-30, headquartered in Jundiaí/SP ("HostMF"). For any privacy matter, contact our data protection officer: Yohan Lopes, at [email protected].

We request personal information only when we really need it to provide you with a service. We do this by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and, when required by law, with your consent. We also tell you why we are collecting it and how it will be used.

We retain the information collected only for as long as necessary to provide the requested service and to comply with legal obligations. When we store data, we protect it using commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not disclose it publicly. We share data only with suppliers who help us provide the service, to the extent necessary and as described in With whom we share your data, or when required by law.

Our website may have links to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of those sites and cannot accept responsibility for their respective privacy policies.

You are free to refuse our request for personal information, understanding that we may not be able to provide some of the services you desire.

Continued use of our website and our app will be considered acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information. If you have any questions about how we handle user data and personal information, contact us.

What data we process

  • Registration data: name, email, phone, address, CPF or CNPJ, company and other data provided when creating or updating your account.

  • Access data: IP address, date and time of access, browser or device used and records of actions taken in the account.
  • Cookies and browsing data on the website, as per the Cookie Policy below.

How we use your data

  • Create and maintain your account, and give access to it through the website and the app (contract performance);
  • Contract, activate, bill and manage services (contract performance);
  • Provide support, through tickets and the assistant (contract performance);
  • Send notices about your account and services, by email, SMS or in-app notification (contract performance and legitimate interest);

With whom we share your data

We share data only with suppliers acting on our behalf and only as needed for the stated purpose:

  • Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging): device identifier and notification text, to deliver app notifications.
  • Artificial intelligence provider (OpenAI): the content of conversations with the assistant (text, images and audio), to generate responses and transcribe voice messages.
  • File storage (OVHcloud, in Canada): images attached to conversations with the assistant.

Some of these suppliers may process data outside Brazil. In such cases we adopt the safeguards provided for in the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) for international transfers.

HostMF App

The HostMF app, available for Android and iOS, gives access to the same account as the Client Area. In addition to what is described above, the following applies to the app:

Data processed by the app

  • Account, services and invoice data: the app shows and uses data that already exists in your account. If you register through the app, it collects registration data.
  • Device data: device name and model, operating system, app version, an installation identifier, the access IP address and the identifier used to deliver notifications.
  • Conversations with the assistant: text messages, images you attach and voice messages. Audio is transcribed to text and is not stored.
  • Emails sent by HostMF: the app displays the emails we send to your account.

Device permissions

  • Notifications: to alert you about invoices, services and assistant replies. You can turn them off in your device settings.
  • Microphone: used only while you record a voice message for the assistant.
  • Photos: accessed only when you choose an image to send to the assistant.
  • Biometrics or device passcode: used to unlock the app and confirm sensitive actions. Verification is done by the device itself; HostMF never receives your biometrics.

The app does not access your location, contacts, calendar or device files, and does not display ads.

Passwords and cards

  • The app does not receive your account password: login is done on the HostMF page.
  • Card data is entered on the payment method's page and does not pass through the app.
  • The server password used in the SSH terminal goes from your device directly to your server. If you choose to save it, it is kept only on your device, in the system's secure storage, and is deleted when you exit the app.

Security in the app

Communication between the app and HostMF is encrypted. The session is stored in the device's secure storage, protected by biometrics or the device passcode. Sensitive actions, such as shutting down a server, resetting a password or using the balance, require new confirmation. Under "Account › Connected devices" you can see and disconnect the devices with access to your account.

How long we keep your data

Account, service and billing data are kept while the account exists and, after that, for the periods required by tax, civil and Brazilian Internet Civil Framework legislation. Conversations with the assistant are kept while your account exists, as support history. The app's notification identifier is deleted when you exit the app.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13.709/2018), you may request at any time: confirmation of the existence of processing and access to your data; correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data; anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data; portability; information about with whom we share your data; and revocation of consent, where processing is based on it. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected] or open a ticket in the Client Area.

HostMF Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

As is common practice on almost all professional websites, this site uses cookies, which are small files downloaded to your computer, to improve your experience. This section describes what information they collect, how we use them and why we sometimes need to store these cookies. We also explain how you can prevent these cookies from being stored; however, this may reduce or "break" certain features of the site.

How do we use cookies?

We use cookies for several reasons, detailed below. Unfortunately, in most cases there are no industry-standard options for disabling cookies without completely disabling the functionality and features they add to this site. It is recommended that you leave all cookies enabled if you are not sure whether you need them or not, in case they are used to provide a service you use.

Disabling cookies

You can prevent cookies from being set by adjusting your browser settings (see your browser's Help for how to do this). Be aware that disabling cookies will affect the functionality of this and many other sites you visit, and will generally result in disabling certain features and functions of this site. Therefore, it is recommended that you do not disable cookies.

Cookies we set

  • Account-related cookies: if you create an account with us, we will use cookies to manage the sign-up process and general administration. These cookies will usually be deleted when you log out; in some cases they may remain to remember your site preferences.
  • Login-related cookies: we use cookies when you are logged in, so that we can remember this action. This prevents you from having to log in every time you visit a new page. These cookies are normally removed when you log out, to ensure that you can only access restricted features and areas after signing in.
  • Email newsletter-related cookies: this site offers newsletter or email subscription services, and cookies may be used to remember whether you are already registered and whether you should receive certain notifications valid only for subscribed or unsubscribed users.
  • Order processing-related cookies: this site offers e-commerce and payment facilities, and some cookies are essential to ensure that your order is remembered between pages, so that we can process it properly.
  • Survey-related cookies: we periodically offer surveys and questionnaires to understand our user base more precisely. These surveys may use cookies to remember who has already participated or to provide accurate results after a page change.
  • Form-related cookies: when you submit data through a form, such as those on contact or comment pages, cookies may be set to remember your details for future correspondence.
  • Site preference cookies: to provide a great experience, we offer the ability to set site operation preferences. To remember your preferences, we need to set cookies, so that this information can be used whenever you interact with a page affected by them.

Third-party cookies

In some special cases, we also use cookies provided by trusted third parties:

  • This site uses Google Analytics, one of the most widespread and trusted web analytics solutions, to help us understand how you use the site and how we can improve your experience. These cookies may record information such as the time you spend on the site and the pages visited. For more information about Google Analytics cookies, see Google Analytics' official page.
  • Third-party analytics are used to track and measure the use of this site, so that we can continue producing relevant content.
  • We periodically test new features and make subtle changes to the way the site is presented. During these tests, cookies may be used to ensure you have a consistent experience on the site, while we understand which improvements our users appreciate most.
  • As we sell products, it is important for us to understand statistics about how many site visitors actually buy; this is the kind of data these cookies record. This allows us to make accurate business forecasts and analyze our advertising and product costs, to ensure the best possible price.

User Commitment

The user commits to making appropriate use of the content and information that HostMF offers on the website and the app and, by way of example but not limitation:

  • A) Not engage in activities that are illegal or contrary to good faith and public order;
  • B) Not disseminate advertising or content of a racist or xenophobic nature, from betting houses, games of chance, any type of illegal pornography, apology for terrorism or against human rights;
  • C) Not cause damage to HostMF's, its suppliers' or third parties' physical (hardware) and logical (software) systems, nor introduce or disseminate computer viruses or any other hardware or software systems capable of causing the aforementioned damage.

Deletion of Personal Data and Account

You may request the deletion of your personal data and your account at any time:

  • Through the app: under "Account › Delete my account". The request is confirmed on the device and forwarded to our team, who will contact you before deleting anything. While the request is open, you can cancel it on the same screen.
  • Through the website: following the instructions on this page, or by opening a ticket in the Client Area.

With account deletion, the contracted services are terminated and the data stored in them is erased, with no possibility of recovery. Data that the law requires us to keep, such as tax and access records, is retained for the legal period and then eliminated.

Children and adolescents

HostMF's services, including the app, are intended for those over 18 years old and are not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or legislation. The version in force is always on this page, with the date of the last update; significant changes are communicated by email or through the app.

More information

We hope this has been clarified. As mentioned earlier, if there is anything about cookies you are not sure whether you need, it is generally safer to leave them enabled, in case you interact with one of the features you use on our site. If in doubt about this policy, contact us at [email protected]

This policy is effective from October/2021 and was last updated in October/2026.
